Jacqueline LiuJacqueline Liu, won the Concerto competition when she was a junior at Davis Senior High School. She has been studying piano since the age of 5½. She is presently (2013) under the instruction of Ms. Marilyn Swan, as she has been for the past eight years. Jacqueline has received various accolades and scholarships from musical events, many being festivals and competitions hosted by MTAC and CAPMT. In both 2010 and 2012, she placed in the USOMC Open Concerto category. Previously in 2010, Jacqueline performed the Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21 accompanied by the Sacramento Youth Symphony Academic Orchestra.

In addition to piano, Jacqueline is a violinist and wa the concertmaster of the Davis High Baroque Ensemble. For three years she participated as a member of the Sacramento Youth Symphony, and was the concertmaster of the Academic Orchestra in her second year of SYS. Jacqueline also joined the UCD Baroque Ensemble as another source of musical exploration.

Besides piano and violin, Jacqueline enjoys reading, playing video games, and math competitions. At the high school, she is part of several clubs including Young Musicians Outreach and Mu Alpha Theta.
