Eugenea Raychaudhuri has been studying piano since the age of 4. She is currently (2015) under the instruction of Ms. Marilyn Swan. She has received several awards and obtained various achievements including completing the Advanced Certificate of Merit examination from the Music Teachers Association of California, and has received her High School Diploma in Social Music from the National Guild of Piano Teachers. She has also participated in various festivals including the MTAC State Convention, Baroque Festival, Festival of New American Music, and has placed in the United States Open Music Competition.
In addition to piano, Eugenea is also a violist and was the principal violist of the Davis High Symphony Orchestra. She has been a member of both the Sacramento Youth Symphony Academic and Premiere orchestras, and has also received the award for Junior High Classical Soloist for the National Downbeat Magazine Music Student Awards in 2013. She has also participated in several state honor groups such as the CODA symphony orchestra and the All-State symphony orchestra.
Besides piano and viola, Eugenea enjoys reading, playing badminton, and spending time with friends and family. At the high school, she is part of several clubs including Mu Alpha Theta and Math and Science Tutors. Her future plans are to pursue her studies in music, as well as in science.
