The DHS Strings Tutoring Program, sponsored by the DHS-Holmes Orchestra Boosters, is a student-led tutoring program open to Elementary Strings and Jr High School Orchestra Students, taught by DHS Orchestra Program student musicians. A team of friendly, motivated tutors work with students on a set weekly lesson schedule to help students reach their various musical goals and aspirations. Lessons are $15 per session, however scholarships are available upon request to lower or waive this fee.

With all DJUSD schools fully reopened, the DHS Strings Tutoring Program is now resuming in person lessons. We encourage all tutors and students to switch back to in person lessons, as they have a clear advantage in sound quality. We will still continue to offer virtual lessons via Zoom for students who are still interested in learning remotely.

The DHS Strings Tutoring Program is always looking for interested students and tutors to join our program.
